Finding good water to ski on near the fourth largest city in
the United States can be
frustrating at best. However, check out these spots and skip the agony!
San Jacinto River
Just east of town and just south of Lake Houston, put in
at the Good Times Marina. Marina is
an overstatement, but that is what it is called. Launch the boat, throw out the rope and ski upstream!
San Bernard River
South of Houston, about 35 miles. Get to Brazoria, Tx,
go a little south on Hwy. 36, and split off
west on Hwy. 521. Cross the Brazos River and go a few miles further until you see the bridge
crossing the San Bernard. Exit before the bridge, as the boat ramp is located underneath.
