We started at the Canyon of the Eagles on Lake Buchanan - the western most lodging on the lake.  This time of year it is possible to find the Bald Eagle in the canyons upstream on the Colorado.  We took the boat 15 miles up river to find them.  The Eagles had left already, but we saw some awesome scenery.  The boating was scaled down due to high winds and cooler temperatures.  We maximized the hiking and exploring instead, seeing Enchanted Rock, Devil's Waterhole at Ink's Lake, and Longhorn Caverns.  All-in-all, a nice break.
